This agreement is between you and Phoenix Technology Partners, LLC ("we"). By installing or using phxScribe you agree to it.
1. Your license
Each license key lets one person or organization use phxScribe on one computer at a time, for personal or business work.
2. Moving your license
You may move your license to a different computer. Moving it deactivates the old computer. To prevent abuse, we may limit how often a license can be moved; contact support if you reach a limit.
3. Updates
Your purchase includes all phxScribe 1.x updates. A future major version, and any optional cloud features, may be sold separately or by subscription.
4. Activation and check-ins
phxScribe checks your license from time to time when it's online. If it can't reach our server, it keeps working for an extended period. The privacy policy lists what is sent.
5. What you may not do
- Share, sell, rent or sublicense your key or the software.
- Get around the license check.
- Reverse engineer the software, except where the law allows it.
6. Your content
Your dictations belong to you. We don't receive them unless you turn on an optional cloud feature.
7. Third-party components
phxScribe includes open-source software and AI models under their own licenses, listed in the app under About › Third-party licenses.
8. No warranty
phxScribe is provided "as is". Speech recognition can make mistakes. Review dictated text before relying on it, especially for medical, legal or financial records.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for phxScribe.
10. Ending this agreement
This agreement ends if you break it, or when you get a refund. Then you must stop using phxScribe.
11. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Michigan.
